After some careless play in the Rosersberg FK defense, Trent Jacob kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michel Lilja. The Rosersberg FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel Lilja should have stopped the shot. After 15 played minutes Ingemar Åkesson rounded Rosersberg FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Rosersberg FK's Michel Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Åkesson in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Rosersberg FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, Rosersberg FK's Reine Åberg made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lukas Bengtsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michel Lilja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ture Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Apelquist in the 37th minute of play forced Athlétic FC's goalkeeper Lukas Bengtsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Reine Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rosersberg FK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Agne Pålsson hit a great ball. Athlétic FC's Bengt-Arne Stor got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trent Jacob to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Rosersberg FK's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Sundling came free, but Michel Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingemar Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Lilja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Torsten Sjögren hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Lukas Bengtsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reine Åberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 65 minute of play. When Rosersberg FK's Gustaf Jonasson in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Apelquist couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the game, Ingemar Åkesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Athlétic FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosersberg FK the free kick. Ingemar Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Rosersberg FK's Daniel Apelquist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lukas Bengtsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. 88 minutes into the match, Ture Möller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel Lilja. Rosersberg FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ture Möller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. After a defensive mix-up in Rosersberg FK's zone, Ingemar Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Lilja came out of the goal and Ingemar Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingemar Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Lilja having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rosersberg FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Athlétic FC.
