Adrian Bäck started the match with the kick off. Viggo Bergqvist's late challenge caught a IFK Sponsor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viggo Bergqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Zebastian Carlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Damm in the 9th minute of play. Adrian Bäck struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ted Benett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Sponsor. In the 13th minute, one of Järna:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Järna. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for IFK Sponsor. Fredric Engström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ted Benett. 1-0. When Järna's Rutger Västerstrand in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IFK Sponsor's goalie prevented a goal. When Harald Damm came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Järna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Damm couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes, Järna's Sonny Jakobsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zebastian Carlsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Järna reached it. 39 minutes into the match, Järna's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Bäck came free, but Ted Benett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, IFK Sponsor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Bäck to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, IFK Sponsor's Adrian Bäck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ted Benett. Ted Benett yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rutger Västerstrand was the one to do the kick off. Rutger Västerstrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zebastian Carlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Ted Benett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Pil in the 53rd minute of the match. Ted Benett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Pil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Järna's Rutger Västerstrand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Zebastian Carlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rutger Västerstrand in the 64th minute of the match. Herbert Forsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Svante Lindmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Benett having to interfere. After some careless play in the Järna defense, Svante Lindmark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Benett. The Järna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Benett should have stopped the shot. IFK Sponsor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Rutger Västerstrand scored to the left of an out of position Zebastian Carlsson, making the score, 4-2. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Adrian Bäck sped through Järna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ted Benett. IFK Sponsor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
