Ted Benett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Vilhelm Kaxe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ted Benett was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Vegas Grappar's Vilhelm Kaxe got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Järna's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Stabbe came free, but Ted Benett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viggo Bergqvist's late challenge caught a Vegas Grappar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rutger Västerstrand made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rutger Västerstrand in the 52nd minute of play forced Vegas Grappar's goalkeeper Atilano Loiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ola Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Fredrik Alströmmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ted Benett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Alströmmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vegas Grappar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
