Vattentornet IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nora FF the free kick. Carl Ahlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Isaksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kasper Västlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Ahlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Vattentornet IF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Åhlberg came free, but Folke Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes Vattentornet IF got a freekick which was hit by Göran Ljungberg. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elliot Isaksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Freddie Helberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Rudberg having to interfere. Christian Asplund made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kasper Västlund. If Kurt Åhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Folke Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Åhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Arvid Siggman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Vallander, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nicklas Åström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
