In the 2nd minute Magnus Arenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vidar Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ted Benett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ted Benett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Arenberg in the 7th minute of the match. Pål Örtlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Magnus Arenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Benett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Arenberg in the 11th minute of play. Timmy Hjeltman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Västerstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Magnus Arenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Hedström might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Benett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Hedström ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the game, Magnus Arenberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ted Benett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ted Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Arenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Portalens FK booed when Järna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viggo Bergqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vidar Persson came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Portalens FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidar Persson couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Magnus Arenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Allan Hedström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portalens FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Hedström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pål Örtlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Benett having to interfere. Pål Örtlund took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Benett. Ted Benett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magnus Arenberg to make the kick off. A collision led to Portalens FK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Allan Hedström hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rutger Västerstrand during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 56 minutes into the match, Allan Hedström notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Järna's Ted Benett. Ted Benett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pål Örtlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ted Benett made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Arenberg in the 84th minute of play forced Järna's goalkeeper Ted Benett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Benett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Arenberg in the 93rd minute of the match. Portalens FK played a much better game than Järna and deserved their victory. The Järna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
