The audience was convinced that Folke Örtendal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolf Bäck was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. When Blue Devils FC's Folke Örtendal in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Army Ants's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Folke Örtendal sped through Army Ants's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolf Bäck. After 38 played minutes Army Ants got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Stephansson. When Olle Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Blue Devils FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olle Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folke Örtendal to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Army Ants's goal looked a bit too open when Urban Tidéksson came free, but Rolf Bäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Rolf Bäck managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Blue Devils FC's Urban Tidéksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 71 minutes, Urban Tidéksson made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Army Ants's Rolf Bäck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jesper Trulsson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Blue Devils FC's Nils-Åke Åkesson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Urban Tidéksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Bäck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blue Devils FC played a much better game than Army Ants and deserved their victory. The Army Ants players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
