The supporters of Unicornen booed when Blue Devils FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Tidéksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Jelm having to interfere. Ingvar Matsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Martin Jelm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unicornen's Andreas Österlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Unicornen from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Unicornen's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Örtendal came free, but Andreas Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Folke Örtendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Lindqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Jimmy Kilström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eskil Westerberg charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eskil Westerberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Unicornen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eskil Westerberg to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Örtendal to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Unicornen's Eskil Westerberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After 57 played minutes Blue Devils FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Hård. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Devils FC's zone, Eskil Westerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Jelm came out of the goal and Eskil Westerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Blue Devils FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Anton Lindqvist hit a great ball. Ingvar Matsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olle Lundqvist hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Martin Jelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Kilström in the 69th minute of the match. If Ingvar Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Martin Jelm managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Unicornen's Ingvar Matsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Devils FC's goalkeeper Martin Jelm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Folke Örtendal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Österlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
