Ingvar Matsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Joacim Isaksson made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Albert Kvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernt Säf's late challenge caught a Unicornen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernt Säf helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Hisings Kärra IF got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Säf. If Viggo Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Albert Kvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hisings Kärra IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Kvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Österlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andreas Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Kvist in the 36th minute of the match. Albert Kvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Unicornen's zone, Jon Sjögren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Österlund came out of the goal and Jon Sjögren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torbjörn Pettersson made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jimmy Kilström however managed to control. Kjell-Arne Haglund hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 61 played minutes Hisings Kärra IF got a freekick which was hit by Roger Kinell. Jon Sjögren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Österlund having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Torbjörn Pettersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hisings Kärra IF's Joacim Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Kilström in the 79th minute of play. Joacim Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Kilström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Unicornen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Karl-Oskar Ahlquist hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Unicornen got a freekick which was hit by Tord Sjöberg. Albert Kvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Andreas Österlund made a huge save. Bengt Lundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Andreas Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Kvist in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Unicornen's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Bredberg came free, but Andreas Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hisings Kärra IF booed when Unicornen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eskil Westerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.
