After a defensive mix-up in FC Amjuk's zone, Freddie Benet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhan Nishkov came out of the goal and Freddie Benet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Army Ants's Rolf Bäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Giliusson in the 22nd minute of play. Rolf Bäck made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jon Lundkvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Jon Lundkvist fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 45 minutes into the match, FC Amjuk's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Grubb came free, but Zhan Nishkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hakan Özselen made a kick off. Jon Lundkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rolf Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jon Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Amjuk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Taner Ocak in the 59th minute. Jens-Ola Månsson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Knut Giliusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes, Jon Lundkvist made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Army Ants's Rolf Bäck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jon Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Hakan Özselen came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FC Amjuk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakan Özselen couldn't finish the play. Jon Lundkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Bäck having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Roy Grubb could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Zhan Nishkov however easily saved by the left post. Jon Lundkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Lundkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rolf Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Amjuk had played much better football throughout.
