Eric Pihlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Witomir Kolbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Eric Pihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witomir Kolbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Alegren got free with Axel Sigfridsson in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eric Pihlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Pihlberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Arne Mossberg in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Epecon IF's Eric Pihlberg got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th match minute, Epecon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Pihlberg to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the game, Tommy Alegren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Axel Sigfridsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Axel Sigfridsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Valrot in the 92nd minute of play. Axel Sigfridsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicki Stolpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
