An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Sellberg in the 17th minute of play forced Gröstorp IF's goalkeeper Jon Eliasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Kleen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harvey Deaconsfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Dan Tolsson's late challenge caught a Guttes Pojkar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Kleen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Harvey Deaconsfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gröstorp IF's Daniel Kleen got a free kick in the 38th minute. Richard Deckberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexander Sellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Eliasson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Deckberg got free with Jon Eliasson in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Håkan Grelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harvey Deaconsfield was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Bo Bergdal made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gröstorp IF's Calle Sandberg. In the 91st minute Daniel Kleen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Deaconsfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guttes Pojkar's goalkeeper Harvey Deaconsfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Guttes Pojkar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guttes Pojkar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
