After a defensive mix-up in Bo Persson SK's zone, Arne Mickelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Pilblad came out of the goal and Arne Mickelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Johannes Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arne Mickelsson came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the HorndalF FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Mickelsson couldn't finish the play. Johannes Kullander struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Erik Pilblad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HorndalF FC. In the 10th match minute, Bo Persson SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Stenström to maneuver through the defense. Erik Pilblad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arne Mickelsson went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute Arne Mickelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bo Persson SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. George Bergkvist was slow to take the kick. During this time HorndalF FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on HorndalF FC's corner George Bergkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erik Pilblad quite easily take care of the ball. Erik Pilblad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Kullander in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Arne Mickelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. HorndalF FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Mickelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Pilblad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Bo Persson SK's Erik Pilblad got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Kihlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Bengt-Åke Kihlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Pilblad was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Alvar Abrahamsson fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bo Persson SK's protests and gave Alvar Abrahamsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bo Persson SK! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, HorndalF FC's George Bergkvist got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erik Pilblad. In the 37th minute Arne Mickelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pontus Kuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Pontus Kuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Persson in the 39th minute of play. Erik Pilblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes HorndalF FC got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Gallberg. 63 minutes into the match, Karl-Åke Wiklund sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Pontus Kuse threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Karl-Åke Wiklund this time. If Johannes Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Åke Kihlberg struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. The supporters of HorndalF FC booed when Bo Persson SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Karl-Axel Björkqvist fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bo Persson SK's protests and gave Karl-Axel Björkqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Alexander Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bo Persson SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Persson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Pilblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Kullander, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Arne Mickelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HorndalF FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. HorndalF FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
