Hajom BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Tage Svensson scored to the left of an out of position Stig-Arne Deckbergh, making the score, 3-0. Tage Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Arne Deckbergh having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Staffan Örnberg made the kick off in the second half. Stig-Arne Deckbergh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Örnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Viskafors RK's zone, Ludvig Stensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Staffan Örnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viskafors RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Staffan Örnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig-Arne Deckbergh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Hajom BK's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Örnberg came free, but Stig-Arne Deckbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
