Robin Nyström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Nordlander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th match minute, Kottsmakarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. When Villiam Dahlqvist fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kottsmakarna's protests and gave Villiam Dahlqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Villiam Dahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Eskilstuna SK got a freekick which was hit by Eric Nordlander. After 16 minutes, Patrik Strömberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kottsmakarna and the Eskilstuna SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patrik Strömberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Eskilstuna SK defense, Simon Gustavsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uno Björnberg. The Eskilstuna SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uno Björnberg should have stopped the shot. If Eric Nordlander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Sandström during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Eskilstuna SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Sandström to maneuver through the defense. Uno Björnberg came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Kottsmakarna's Leonard Pilgren. But to his dismay, Leonard Pilgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 40thth minute of the game Simon Gustavsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Leonard Pilgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uno Björnberg was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Simon Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Björnberg having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Leonard Pilgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kottsmakarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Pilgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonard Pilgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Eskilstuna SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kottsmakarna:s goal. Niclas Rosén shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 56 minutes, Niclas Rosén made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Eskilstuna SK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Kottsmakarna booed when Eskilstuna SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Wallmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonard Pilgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uno Björnberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Niclas Rosén. Leonard Pilgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Björnberg having to interfere. Uno Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Simon Gustavsson sent off a good shot on target. Kottsmakarna's Leonard Pilgren got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Eskilstuna SK booed when Kottsmakarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villiam Dahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivar Wallmark's late challenge caught a Kottsmakarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivar Wallmark helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Eskilstuna SK got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Wallmark. The Kottsmakarna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kottsmakarna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
