Osvald Westerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Uno Björnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Wik in the 16th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uno Björnberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Eskilstuna SK's Dan Sandström got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Nils-Erik Liljeström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvald Westerberg made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Wik in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uno Björnberg saved Eskilstuna SK from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Peter Wik lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Uno Björnberg. 63 minutes into the game, Ivar Wallmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eskilstuna SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svinstian FK the free kick. Ivar Wallmark kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ted Soned hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Knutsson during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 85th minute of the match Ivar Wallmark completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ivar Wallmark a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When Torsten Flinck came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Svinstian FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Flinck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Westerberg in the 91st minute of play forced Eskilstuna SK's goalkeeper Uno Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes Eskilstuna SK got a freekick which was hit by Eric Nordlander. 96 minutes into the match, Osvald Westerberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uno Björnberg. Eskilstuna SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvald Westerberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.
