In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eskilstuna SK's goalkeeper Uno Björnberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

With an all-out effort, Eskilstuna SK's Joseph Joensson threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dan Sandström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sven-Ove Haeger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uno Björnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Venga Boys got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Haeger. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 58th minute, when Eskilstuna SK's Thomas Svanberg after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Joseph Joensson in Venga Boys's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 61st match minute, Venga Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Haeger to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Joensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Nordlander in the 63rd minute of play. Eric Nordlander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Joensson having to interfere. Fritz Apelqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the match, Venga Boys's Fritz Apelqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uno Björnberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The long shot by Thomas Svanberg in the 72nd minute really tested Joseph Joensson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fritz Apelqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venga Boys's Joseph Joensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Venga Boys from getting a goal against them. When Michel Sandström fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venga Boys's protests and gave Michel Sandström a yellow card for diving instead. Michel Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Sebastian Hellströms short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Joseph Joensson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eskilstuna SK's Uno Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Apelqvist in the 94th minute of play. After 96 played minutes Venga Boys got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Haeger. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Venga Boys had played much better football throughout.
