If Birger Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfred Skoog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Lang in the 15th minute of play. Lars Täman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Fritz Fagrell kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Elias Lang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvar Fridlund during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 minutes, Kenny Nässén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympique Lund and the Landvetter players grew even worse after the yellow card.
