In the 20th minute, Börje Stålberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Right To Dream FC's Per-Arne Mickelsson suffered a sore thigh after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Right To Dream FC booed when Hägernäs IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Näver didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Frank Hedlund with Ingmar Ahlbeck as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ingmar Ahlbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sixten Åberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Hägernäs IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Gabrielsson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingmar Ahlbeck in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Åberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the match, Hägernäs IK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Lundström came free, but Sixten Åberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hägernäs IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Right To Dream FC the free kick. Tomas Lundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Sixten Åberg made a huge save. After 64 minutes of play Hägernäs IK's Teofilo Oihan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
