Lokomotiv Ekhagen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Hjalmar Abrahamsson scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Erik Fredriksson, making the score, 1-0. In the 6th minute, Zebastian Lööf fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jan-Erik Fredriksson, passed just outside the right post. Hjalmar Abrahamsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Fredriksson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Hjalmar Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monroeville Zombies's supporters rose to their feet, but Hjalmar Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Erik Fredriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zebastian Lööf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torgny Asplund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Jernberg having to interfere. If Zebastian Lööf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Ulf Lundin made a precise shot to the right of Eric Jernberg. Monroeville Zombies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 38 minutes, Zebastian Lööf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monroeville Zombies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zebastian Lööf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zebastian Lööf to make the kick off. Zebastian Lööf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jan-Erik Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alvin Månsson fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Ekhagen's protests and gave Alvin Månsson a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Monroeville Zombies's Eric Jernberg got control of the ball when Jim Danielsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zebastian Lööf in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Erik Fredriksson saved Lokomotiv Ekhagen from getting behind. Alvin Månsson was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alvin Månsson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Zebastian Lööf struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jan-Erik Fredriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monroeville Zombies. If Zebastian Lööf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torgny Asplund charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torgny Asplund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Lokomotiv Ekhagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Asplund to maneuver through the defense. When Zebastian Lööf came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Monroeville Zombies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zebastian Lööf couldn't finish the play. After 88 played minutes Lokomotiv Ekhagen got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Ekström. If Zebastian Lööf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Zebastian Lööf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Monroeville Zombies fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Monroeville Zombies's Zebastian Lööf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lokomotiv Ekhagen were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Monroeville Zombies's much stronger midfield.
