In the 19th minute Torgny Asplund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Spets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfrid Salqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jocke von Haze BK's zone, Jim Danielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Spets came out of the goal and Jim Danielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Danielsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Spets having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Arne Bolander during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jocke von Haze BK's Bengt-Arne Bolander got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Torgny Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marcus Nordmark came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Jocke von Haze BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Nordmark couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee ignored Lokomotiv Ekhagen's protests and gave Jonas Ekström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, Lokomotiv Ekhagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Ekström to maneuver through the defense. When Jörn Blanck fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
