Lokomotiv Tranås's Leif Björklund got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lokomotiv Tranås booed when Norbergs BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Lindell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Leif Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Mårten Hermansson made a precise shot to the right of Peter Vallander. Lokomotiv Tranås's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Mårten Hermansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Vallander. Lokomotiv Tranås's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mårten Hermansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Viktor Wennersten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lennart Henriksson having to make a save. Mårten Hermansson took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Vallander. Peter Vallander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The Lokomotiv Tranås players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Norbergs BK were winning 0-4.

If Viktor Wennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Leif Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Vallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Hermansson in the 62nd minute of the match. Håkan Vestberg's late challenge caught a Norbergs BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Vestberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Lokomotiv Tranås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Håkan Vestberg to maneuver through the defense. Peter Vallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Hermansson in the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Leif Björklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Henriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Leif Björklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennart Henriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
