Josef Askstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasper Persson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Samba's zone, Einar Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Wall came out of the goal and Einar Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Eric Palmquist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Hisingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Samba the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josef Askstedt to make the kick off. Einar Lindström took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olof Wall. Olof Wall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Olof Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Einar Lindström in the 56th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Fc Samba's goalkeeper Olof Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Erik Hedman. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sven-Erik Hedman managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Hisingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Erik Hedman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Wall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Fc Samba getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Axel Nyman hit a great ball. Olof Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Einar Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Ola Lönn during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Ola Lönn kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Einar Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olof Wall was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ivar Klemensson. After having played for 96 minutes, Josef Askstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Samba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josef Askstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
