If Birger Ennegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polhems Juniorer's Holger Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Nord in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Tråvad IF booed when Polhems Juniorer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Alén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Engström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Polhems Juniorer's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Ennegren came free, but Holger Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger Ennegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Holger Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicklas Söderquist in the 25th minute of the match. Polhems Juniorer's Holger Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Ennegren in the 26th minute of play. When Kjell-Arne Nord came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Tråvad IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell-Arne Nord couldn't finish the play. Holger Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell-Arne Nord in the 29th minute of play. Tråvad IF's Tage Trillkott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Wallin in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Bäckman in the 33rd minute of play forced Polhems Juniorer's goalkeeper Holger Lind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Birger Ennegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holger Lind was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Holger Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Ennegren in the 41st minute of the match. Birger Ennegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Holger Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Kjell-Arne Nord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Wallin made a kick off. Holger Lind stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 63 played minutes Polhems Juniorer got a freekick which was hit by Nils Jonasson. Evert Engström, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Polhems Juniorer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Kjell-Arne Nord scored to the left of an out of position Holger Lind, making the score, 0-2. In the 70th minute Roger Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Trillkott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell-Arne Nord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Alén hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Polhems Juniorer's Holger Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Nord in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match Jan Odin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Holger Lind showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Polhems Juniorer's Holger Lind got control of the ball when Birger Ennegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicklas Söderquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Lind. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicklas Söderquist ran back to his position shaking his head. Birger Ennegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Lind having to interfere.
