Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Greger Olofsson kicked off to start the match. Per Bammerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Mellerud IK's Dag Öberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anders Danielsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Bengt Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melker Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Nordström in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Henrik Månsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Okq8 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mellerud IK the free kick. Marcus Månsson's late challenge caught a Mellerud IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Månsson helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Månsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Dag Öberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dag Öberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Danielsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Okq8 FC's zone, Andreas Bagge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Danielsson came out of the goal and Andreas Bagge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dag Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Anders Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Okq8 FC defense, Dag Öberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Danielsson. The Okq8 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Danielsson should have stopped the shot. Andreas Bagge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Danielsson having to interfere. Bengt Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mellerud IK's Dag Öberg got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrik Pilblad charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrik Pilblad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Mellerud IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Pilblad to maneuver through the defense. If Dag Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Danielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Öberg in the 90th minute of the match. Okq8 FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Stenkvist in the 93rd minute. The corner ended in André Stenkvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mellerud IK's Melker Alströmmer did a great save. After 95 minutes of play Okq8 FC's Greger Olofsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Okq8 FC's Greger Olofsson got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mellerud IK had played much better football throughout.
