After a rather tough play, NK Podgrmec's Thomas Wallin got a free kick in the 7th minute. Lars-Erik Påk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reine Bruhn having to interfere. Reine Bruhn came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Sandviken's Lars-Erik Påk. But to his dismay, Lars-Erik Påk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Oskar Örn during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to NK Podgrmec getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Karl-Oskar Örn hit a great ball. Reine Bruhn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Liljeström's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Olov Löfgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandviken's Lars-Erik Påk got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Sandviken's Andreas Boklund tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Reine Bruhn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars-Erik Påk went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Sandviken's Ryszard Poling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Oskar Örn in the 33rd minute of play. After 38 played minutes Sandviken got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Arenberg. 42 minutes into the match, NK Podgrmec's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Påk came free, but Reine Bruhn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Lars-Erik Påk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sandviken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Påk in the 47th minute of play forced NK Podgrmec's goalkeeper Reine Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Sandviken were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lars-Erik Påk made the kick off in the second half. Olov Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Reine Bruhn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars-Erik Påk scored 0-5 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reine Bruhn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Karl-Oskar Örn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Poling was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 60 minutes into the game, Karl-Oskar Örn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Ryszard Poling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Oskar Örn in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryszard Poling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute of the match NK Podgrmec got a corner. Sandviken's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexander Nyberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alexander Nyberg made a great header on NK Podgrmec's corner, it was just that Sandviken's Ryszard Poling managed to reach the ball for a save. Reine Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars-Erik Påk in the 72nd minute of play. Ryszard Poling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Oskar Örn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Löfgren struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Reine Bruhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandviken. When Lars-Erik Påk came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sandviken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Erik Påk couldn't finish the play. NK Podgrmec's Reine Bruhn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save NK Podgrmec from getting a goal against them.
