Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hans Lindmark started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Torsten Alén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polhems Juniorer and the Sommen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Torsten Alén hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Valdemar Emander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sommen's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Emander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Holger Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Hans Lindmark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Alén during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ragnar Classon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Wallin in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sommen's goalkeeper Ragnar Classon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nils Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Roger Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ragnar Classon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Hans Lindmark cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Holger Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Roger Wallin made the kick off in the second half. Sommen's Ragnar Classon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Jonasson in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Emander got free with Holger Lind in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hans Lindmark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Polhems Juniorer got a freekick which was hit by Roger Wallin. Ragnar Classon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Wallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valdemar Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Lindmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Lind having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Polhems Juniorer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Wallin to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Roger Wallin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polhems Juniorer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Nils Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polhems Juniorer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valdemar Emander came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sommen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Emander couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Polhems Juniorer:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sommen:s goal. The goalkeeper, Holger Lind, was totally fooled by Sommen's Hans Lindmark, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sommen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
