Adrian Sigfridsson made a great header on Mellerud IK's corner, it was just that Polhems Juniorer's Holger Lind managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 11th minute, Dag Öberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellerud IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Pilblad during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patrik Pilblad kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Andreas Bagge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Holger Lind was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andreas Bagge to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Dag Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edward Alén fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polhems Juniorer's protests and gave Edward Alén a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Polhems Juniorer's Edward Alén got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Bagge in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Holger Lind saved Polhems Juniorer from getting behind. Dag Öberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Polhems Juniorer's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Bagge came free, but Holger Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Wallin in the 65th minute of play forced Mellerud IK's goalkeeper Melker Alströmmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Andreas Bagge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dag Öberg came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Mellerud IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Öberg couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Andreas Bagge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Holger Lind was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Andreas Bagge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Holger Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Andreas Bagge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Dag Öberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holger Lind was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 95 minutes into the match, Polhems Juniorer's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Bagge came free, but Holger Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mellerud IK fully deserved thier win.
