A collision led to Tråvad IF getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nicklas Söderquist hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, André Stenkvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tråvad IF's Tage Trillkott didn't even have to move. The supporters of Okq8 FC booed when Tråvad IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Bäckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Jan-Ove Kvalfält was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tråvad IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Okq8 FC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Jan-Ove Kvalfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Nordström in the 16th minute of play forced Tråvad IF's goalkeeper Tage Trillkott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt Nordström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Tage Trillkott made a huge save. Egon Allbom hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Bengt Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Börje Bäckman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tråvad IF and the Okq8 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Börje Bäckman kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Greger Olofsson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tage Trillkott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Okq8 FC. Anders Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Ennegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Tråvad IF's goalkeeper Tage Trillkott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Nordström. If Kjell-Arne Nord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Greger Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Okq8 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greger Olofsson couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Bengt Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Okq8 FC's Greger Olofsson in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tråvad IF's goalie prevented a goal. 58 minutes into the match, Tråvad IF's Kjell-Arne Nord sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anders Danielsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rune Tillman kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tråvad IF's Birger Ennegren got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tråvad IF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jan Odin hit a great ball. Anders Danielsson made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Birger Ennegren sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Birger Ennegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tråvad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Ennegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Danielsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengt Nordström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tage Trillkott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greger Olofsson in the 82nd minute of play. Okq8 FC's Bengt Nordström got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Börje Bäckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Danielsson made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Birger Ennegren sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Okq8 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Nord came free, but Anders Danielsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell-Arne Nord was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Tråvad IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 96th minute Greger Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Trillkott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
