Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pål Wallin kicked off to start the match. Mattias Rosendahl's late challenge caught a 1891 Djurgården's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattias Rosendahl helped the player get up and apologised. Mattias Rosendahl hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 12 minutes 1891 Djurgården's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonatan Jonasson who took care of the corner kick. After 18 played minutes AIK 1891 got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Lindström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Wallin got free with Stefan Björk in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Björk came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by AIK 1891's Pål Wallin. But to his dismay, Pål Wallin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 1891 Djurgården were furious when Dick Martinsson was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, one of 1891 Djurgården:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 1891 Djurgården. The goalkeeper, Stefan Björk, was totally fooled by AIK 1891's Jonatan Jonasson, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 41 minutes of play, AIK 1891's Pål Wallin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Björk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefan Björk made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Pål Wallin sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Pål Eliasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Björk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Björk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Bocklund in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Blom to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes AIK 1891 got a freekick which was hit by Pål Eliasson. AIK 1891's Jonatan Jonasson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for 1891 Djurgården. Stefan Björk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Rosendahl in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, 1891 Djurgården's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Rosendahl came free, but Stefan Björk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ulf Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Andreas Lang replaced Adrian Lindström. 75 minutes into the game, Eric Sălcudeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1891 Djurgården's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK 1891 the free kick. Eric Sălcudeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Karl Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksander Svensson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 1891 Djurgården's zone, Pål Wallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Björk came out of the goal and Pål Wallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Karl Brandt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1891 Djurgården's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK 1891 the free kick. When the referee ended the match the AIK 1891 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
