After a rather tough play, Norrtälje IF's Ingemar Joensson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 7 minutes into the match, Norrtälje IF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Ahlin came free, but Otto Benett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingemar Joensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennart Vidman's late challenge caught a Norrtälje IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennart Vidman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to NY Rangers getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lennart Vidman hit a great ball. NY Rangers's Lennart Vidman got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bo Ödmann hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match Kalle Vase shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesper Garvetti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, NY Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Kalle Vase came free, but Jesper Garvetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Vidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Otto Benett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalle Vase hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Vidman in the 32nd minute of play forced Norrtälje IF's goalkeeper Otto Benett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Ahlin took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Benett. Otto Benett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Nils-Erik Ahlroht fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NY Rangers's protests and gave Nils-Erik Ahlroht a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, NY Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Ahlroht to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in NY Rangers's zone, Stefan Smed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesper Garvetti came out of the goal and Stefan Smed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ingemar Joensson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Norrtälje IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingemar Joensson couldn't finish the play. If Daniel Ahlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Lennart Vidman made the kick off in the second half. NY Rangers's Jesper Garvetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Joensson in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Stefan Smed notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of NY Rangers's Jesper Garvetti. Jesper Garvetti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, NY Rangers's Vilhelm Ström got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Stefan Smed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Norrtälje IF booed when NY Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Norrtälje IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Vidman came free, but Otto Benett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Ahlin struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Otto Benett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NY Rangers. After having played for 90 minutes, Lennart Vidman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NY Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Vidman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Norrtälje IF's goalkeeper Otto Benett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Ahlin. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
