The Moon-Atomic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NY Rangers the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as The Moon-Atomic's Valentin Grep slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vilhelm Ström. That made the score 2-1 after 33 minutes of play. During the 36th minute of the match Per Classon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Per Classon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee ignored NY Rangers's protests and gave Brian Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. Brian Lundström hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Linus Kruse made a kick off. After a rather tough play, NY Rangers's Tommi Keskinarkaus got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Samuel Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NY Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Jansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Linus Kruse managed to get in a good position for a shot. NY Rangers's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Kruse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Bolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
