Ib Schnipper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Ståhlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Ronny Magnusson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joar Fredriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joar Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fructuoso Valerón in the 30th minute of play. Lenhovda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gottfrid Moberg during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ib Schnipper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Moberg in the 45th minute of play. Bruno Guadagnoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gottfrid Moberg made the kick off in the second half. Ronny Magnusson struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Joar Fredriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lenhovda. Joar Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Guadagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Knäcka nötter's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Guadagnoli came free, but Joar Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fructuoso Valerón scored 3-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joar Fredriksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
