An unexpectedly hard shot by Agne Sandström in the 22nd minute of play forced Mariannelund's goalkeeper Johan Säf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agne Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Mariannelund's goal looked a bit too open when Agne Sandström came free, but Johan Säf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes Mariannelund's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Agne Sandström who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Mariannelund defense, Rudolf Bivall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Säf. The Mariannelund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Säf should have stopped the shot. Dennis Aspengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Johan Säf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johan Säf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Bivall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Christer Åhlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Söderbärke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Åhlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, David Andberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agne Sandström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Bivall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Johan Säf made a huge save. Söderbärke's Douglas Bållström suffered a concussion in the 54th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Vestlund during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rudolf Bivall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Säf having to interfere. Orvar Bergdal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Johan Säf made a huge save. A collision led to Mariannelund getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. David Andberg hit a great ball. Bengt Sandberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Mariannelund's Johan Säf got control of the ball when Agne Sandström tried to sneak it across the goal line.
