Michael Persson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rutger Gulliksson in the 27th minute. Michael Persson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Forsman in the 28th minute of play. Bertil Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Back in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Mats Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mats Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Långholmen FC's attack was well implemented in the 52nd minute, but when Knut Back was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Michael Persson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Söderman, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Långholmen FC's Mats Lindberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertil Nyman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Knut Back's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Nyman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Claes Lustig made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Långholmen FC's Jan Wallgren. Mats Lindberg took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertil Nyman. Bertil Nyman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 84th minute, Långholmen FC's Knut Back dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Bertil Nyman made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Mats Lindberg sent off a good shot on target. The IFK Sociologen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Långholmen FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
