The crowd rose to their feet as Vrigstad BF's Kurt Häger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Max Ahlrot. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Arne Molin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Myhr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Max Ahlrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Engström got free with Max Ahlrot in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hamrångefjärden's Max Ahlrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Engström in the 29th minute of play. Kurt Häger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Ahlrot having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Kurt Häger took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Max Ahlrot to make any attempt to save it. Jan Engström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Max Ahlrot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Kurt Häger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Max Ahlrot. The goal made the score 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Vrigstad BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamrångefjärden the free kick. Jens Jakobsson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Torbjörn Forsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play Vrigstad BF's Jens Jakobsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jens Jakobsson hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Jan Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vrigstad BF made a substitution. Jan-Erik Rang replaced Jan Engström. 83 minutes into the match, Hamrångefjärden's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Rang came free, but Max Ahlrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, one of Vrigstad BF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arne Molin went to the wrong direction when Ulf Clementsson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Kurt Häger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vrigstad BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Häger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vrigstad BF had won after a very even match.
