Christer Granström charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jan Engström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Georg Bock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomasz Wojtyna scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arne Molin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Vrigstad BF booed when Örebro SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Brenner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Örebro SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vrigstad BF the free kick.
