After a defensive mix-up in FC Syrianska's zone, Carl Björnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Sundling came out of the goal and Carl Björnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Åke Håkansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sixten Sundling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Åke Håkansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sixten Sundling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC Syrianska's Sixten Sundling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Håkansson in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Åhman in the 10th minute of play forced FC Syrianska's goalkeeper Sixten Sundling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Syrianska booed when Göteborgs Äldre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Danielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixten Sundling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urban Håkansson in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Mark Brovall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Rune Åhman scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixten Sundling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Syrianska's Sixten Sundling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Björnberg in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Bengt-Rune Åhman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Göteborgs Äldre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 26 played minutes FC Syrianska got a freekick which was hit by Åke Bergman. Göteborgs Äldre's Ingvar Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Söderström in the 32nd minute of play. Sixten Sundling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Åhman, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Urban Håkansson notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC Syrianska's Sixten Sundling. Sixten Sundling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Rune Åhman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ronny Olsson put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ingvar Albom. 55 minutes into the match, FC Syrianska's goalkeeper Sixten Sundling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Håkansson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urban Håkansson in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixten Sundling saved FC Syrianska from getting behind. Sixten Sundling was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Bengt-Rune Åhman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bengt-Rune Åhman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Sixten Sundling made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Urban Håkansson sent off a good shot on target. Gottfrid Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The FC Syrianska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixten Sundling should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Carl Björnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sixten Sundling made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Urban Håkansson sent off a good shot on target.
