After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mats Ahlfors stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvin Berg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albin Sandwall in the 78th minute. When Kennet Abrahamsson fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sveg IFK's protests and gave Kennet Abrahamsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of jananan booed when Sveg IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennet Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wictor Viberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell Hjeltman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Sveg IFK defense, Mats Ahlfors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Hjeltman. The Sveg IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Hjeltman should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the jananan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
