Spectators: 7455 (Terracing: 5592, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Petter Ålberg got the match started through his kick off. Rune Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Isaksson in the 5th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Petter Ålberg put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Egon Blom. In the 9th minute, Otto Isaksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iggesund's Egon Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Utter in the 10th minute of play. Egon Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Utter, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 17 played minutes Iggesund got a freekick which was hit by Sakarias Wahlström. The supporters of Iggesund booed when Njurunda IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Hård didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingmar Alfors scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Bruhn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egon Blom made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Petter Ålberg sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Vennerkvist in the 28th minute of play forced Njurunda IK's goalkeeper Rune Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iggesund's Egon Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Iggesund from getting a goal against them. Egon Blom made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Petter Ålberg sent off a good shot on target. Martin Utter hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A hard shot 35 in the game by Petter Ålberg from a close distance when the talented Egon Blom managed to make a qualified save. Iggesund's players were relieved. Petter Ålberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Egon Blom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Njurunda IK booed when Iggesund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sune Sörman lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Njurunda IK. Kurt Kielberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Egon Blom. 2-1. In the 47th match minute, Njurunda IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Skoglund to maneuver through the defense. After 50 minutes Njurunda IK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig-Arne Lindblom who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Stig-Arne Lindblom got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rune Bruhn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Vennerkvist made a kick off. Martin Utter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Egon Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Otto Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Iggesund's Rickard Vennerkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Bruhn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Njurunda IK's Petter Ålberg in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iggesund's goalie prevented a goal. In the 60th match minute, Iggesund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Wahlström to maneuver through the defense. When Njurunda IK's Petter Ålberg in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iggesund's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Ålberg in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egon Blom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Petter Ålberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egon Blom was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 80 minutes into the game, Martin Utter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Egon Blom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 6-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Petter Ålberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Ålberg in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egon Blom saved Iggesund from getting behind. Petter Ålberg took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egon Blom. Egon Blom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. After 96 minutes of play, Njurunda IK's Petter Ålberg made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egon Blom was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Njurunda IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Iggesund had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
