Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Iggesund defense, Svante Bollström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Blom. The Iggesund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Blom should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Iggesund's zone, Walter Östensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Blom came out of the goal and Walter Östensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walter Östensson made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Iggesund's Adam Gustafsson. 15 minutes into the match, Iggesund's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Walmarsson came free, but Egon Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Iggesund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Lingren to maneuver through the defense. Egon Blom came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Göteborg's Ralf Walmarsson. But to his dismay, Ralf Walmarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 22nd minute Claes Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFK Göteborg's Östen Björkqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save IFK Göteborg from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the game, Iggesund's Rickard Vennerkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Östen Björkqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Iggesund's Rickard Vennerkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egon Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Bollström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Iggesund's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Walmarsson came free, but Egon Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The IFK Göteborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Iggesund's Egon Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Walmarsson in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Iggesund got a freekick which was hit by Sakarias Wahlström. 74 minutes into the match, Iggesund's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Walmarsson came free, but Egon Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Ralf Walmarsson lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Egon Blom. Iggesund's Egon Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Walmarsson in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Iggesund booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Sjöman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Ingmar Alfors came free, but Östen Björkqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Östen Björkqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingmar Alfors's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Egon Blom made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Claes Fransson sent off a good shot on target. Svante Bollström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Egon Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded IFK Göteborg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Iggesund.
