Christopher Wiklund came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Göteborg's Svante Bollström. But to his dismay, Svante Bollström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 33rd match minute, IFK Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Petersson to maneuver through the defense. IFK Stockholm's Rickard Hellström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Paraíba in the 42nd minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Östen Björkqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IFK Göteborg's attentive Claes Fransson managed to snatch the ball when Felix Kinnman made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half IFK Stockholm were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casper Sefastsson to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ralf Walmarsson notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of IFK Stockholm's Christopher Wiklund. Christopher Wiklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ralf Walmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as IFK Stockholm's Casper Sefastsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Östen Björkqvist. That made the score 2-5 after 71 minutes of play. In the 74th minute, Ralf Walmarsson made a precise shot to the right of Christopher Wiklund. IFK Stockholm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. A collision led to IFK Stockholm getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Felix Kinnman hit a great ball. Christopher Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Bollström in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Sefastsson in the 81st minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Östen Björkqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Östen Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hampus Fransson in the 84th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Östen Björkqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Paraíba.
