In the 5th match minute, Skarsåsen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Falk to maneuver through the defense. Mats Samuelsson made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Taberg's Fredrik Back. Taberg's Sivert Kjellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Eliasson in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Joachim Vallgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mats Lindholm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Sivert Kjellqvist made a huge save. In the 18th minute Jonas Klack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mats Lindholm got free with Sivert Kjellqvist in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Klack in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Olof Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Johan Landin charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johan Landin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Taberg got a freekick which was hit by Johan Landin. Taberg's Sivert Kjellqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Taberg from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mats Lindholm to make the kick off. The supporters of Skarsåsen IK booed when Taberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Landin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Taberg's Jonas Klack slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan-Olof Nordström. That made the score 0-1 after 58 minutes of play. Jonas Klack blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Olof Nordström having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Klack in the 67th minute of play forced Skarsåsen IK's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfred Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Taberg getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jimmy Pihlberg hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes Skarsåsen IK got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Stenqvist. A sloppy throw-in by Marc Hedling in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Taberg's Oskar Wik. After 84 minutes of play, Taberg's Roland Hedin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Olof Nordström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fredrik Back scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Olof Nordström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute Mats Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sivert Kjellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
