Eric Enegren started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Bottnaryd IFK booed when Tived was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 17th minute, Egil Hermansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Staffan Lidström's late challenge caught a Tived's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Staffan Lidström helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Tived a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Elliott Bjursell, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bottnaryd IFK's Ian Säv. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Albert Biörk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tived's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Biörk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Säv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mattias Eliasson kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Albert Biörk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Säv having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Tived got a freekick which was hit by Thor Sörman. After 76 minutes, Egil Hermansson made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tived's Niklas Fors tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Egil Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tived getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Karl-Ove Andreasson hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Tived got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Blanck. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tived's goalkeeper Niklas Fors, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nils-Erik Blanck hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Albert Biörk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ian Säv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Säv stood somewhat misplaced when Eric Enegren came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 93 minute. Tived's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
