The audience was convinced that Viktor Stephansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Nordlund was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Kurdiska FF's Gert Stephansson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gert Stephansson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kurdiska FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gert Stephansson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 79th minute, one of Kurdiska FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kurdiska FF. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
