Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erling Grönberg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd play minute Martin Klementsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Agne Linqvist. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Royal FC's zone, Erling Grönberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Vinström came out of the goal and Erling Grönberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erling Grönberg's late challenge caught a Royal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erling Grönberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leomaker's Erling Grönberg got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 18th minute Michael Bergkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erling Grönberg hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd match minute, Leomaker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Caspersson to maneuver through the defense. Michael Bergkvist struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Agne Linqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal FC. Martin Klementsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Agne Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Leomaker's goalkeeper Agne Linqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Klementsson. Åke Vinström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Söder in the 29th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Bror Eklund with William Siöman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Michael Bergkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agne Linqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Siöman in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute, Paul Vase hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Åke Vinström was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Erling Grönberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erling Grönberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Erling Grönberg kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Michael Bergkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Bergkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Bergkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åke Vinström came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Leomaker's Stig-Åke Söder. But to his dismay, Stig-Åke Söder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 75th minute Erling Grönberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Vinström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Klementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Linqvist having to interfere. Michael Bergkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Agne Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Per-Oskar Kuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erling Grönberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Leomaker supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leomaker would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
