The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Helge Böcklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolf Kämpe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolf Kämpe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Folkes BK booed when Hindas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Westerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Månsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee ignored Hindas F.C.'s protests and gave Elias Olenberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Folkes BK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nils-Åke Melander hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes, Hindas F.C.'s Karl-Johan Westerberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Krister Fors came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hindas F.C. reached it. Helge Böcklund struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rolf Kämpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Folkes BK. Helge Böcklund did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Rolf Kämpe 37 minutes into the match. Helge Böcklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Kämpe having to interfere. Helge Böcklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Gunnar Kellman made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hindas F.C. booed when Folkes BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Tholsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Helge Böcklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolf Kämpe was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Helge Böcklund notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Hindas F.C.'s Rolf Kämpe. Hindas F.C.'s Calle Österlund shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Krister Fors but with some difficulty. When Jakob Öberg fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hindas F.C.'s protests and gave Jakob Öberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Hindas F.C.'s Einar Palmquist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. In the 88th minute, Nils-Åke Melander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Hellbom was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Folkes BK getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. David Hellbom hit a great ball. If Bengt-Åke Almkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Folkes BK were the better team. Folkes BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
