In the 8th match minute, Linneryd BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Juhlin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Högberg in the 15th minute of play forced Linneryd BK's goalkeeper Tomas Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Torbjörn Åhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Högberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tomas Melander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kurre Hamrins Akademi. Tomas Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Ryberg in the 22nd minute of play. Stellan Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Stephansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Karl-Johan Ahlerot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stellan Kilberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Stephansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gert Högberg came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Kurre Hamrins Akademi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Högberg couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute of the match Kurre Hamrins Akademi got a corner. Linneryd BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olle Gadd ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Sven-Erik Hagberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gert Högberg to make the kick off. Stellan Kilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Stephansson in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linneryd BK's goalkeeper Tomas Melander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Kurre Hamrins Akademi's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Åhlberg came free, but Stellan Kilberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Linneryd BK defense, Gert Högberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Melander. The Linneryd BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Melander should have stopped the shot. With his leg Tomas Melander managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Gert Högberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Linneryd BK defense, Gert Högberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Melander. The Linneryd BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Melander should have stopped the shot. Torbjörn Åhlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gert Högberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tomas Melander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Conny Alrot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Conny Alrot kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Stellan Kilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Åhlberg in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Staffan Ryberg got a free kick in the 96th minute. Kurre Hamrins Akademi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
