Azerbaijan Land Of Fire's Ulrik Löfkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Stephansson in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Albohm in the 16th minute of play forced Linneryd BK's goalkeeper Tomas Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Åke Albohm took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Melander. Tomas Melander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Folke Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl-Åke Albohm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Melander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Linneryd BK's Sigvard Ekeberg pulled a muscle in his back after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Torbjörn Åhlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Åke Albohm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tomas Melander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Albohm in the 42nd minute of play forced Linneryd BK's goalkeeper Tomas Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Folke Pihlwall notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Linneryd BK's Tomas Melander. Tomas Melander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Karl-Åke Juhlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Löfkvist having to interfere. If Torbjörn Åhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Azerbaijan Land Of Fire eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
