After some careless play in the Malmö Fotbollförening defense, Cícero Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mats Smefeldt. The Malmö Fotbollförening fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mats Smefeldt should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mats Smefeldt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Stenberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 73 minute of play. Mats Smefeldt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Stenberg in the 76th minute. Mats Smefeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Quintana in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Mats Smefeldt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
