The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Frans Jonsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alf Lindström. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. Real Flames's Alf Lindström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Real Flames from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Robin Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Evert Samuelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brunskog's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Flames the free kick. After a rather tough play, Brunskog's Evert Samuelsson got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Henrik Björkman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markus Hammarström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gunnar Löfgren hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Alf Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Söderqwist in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Dan Söderqwist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alf Lindström. The goal made the score 2-0. Dan Söderqwist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Alf Lindström made a huge save. The supporters of Brunskog booed when Real Flames was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Hellström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brunskog's Markus Hammarström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Alagoano in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Abelardo Quintana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Flames fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 36th minute Thomas Stenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Hammarström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Abelardo Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Flames's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Quintana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Real Flames booed when Brunskog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Samuelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markus Hammarström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Holmberg in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Brunskog's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Holmberg came free, but Markus Hammarström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brunskog's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Thomas Stenberg scored to the left of an out of position Markus Hammarström, making the score, 2-2. When Henrik Björkman came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Real Flames fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Björkman couldn't finish the play. Alf Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Söderqwist, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Brunskog getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Frans Jonsson hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Oskar Kruuse during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 70 minutes into the match, Abelardo Quintana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Hammarström. Brunskog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Quintana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After 75 minutes of play, Real Flames's Abelardo Quintana made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Hammarström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the game, Thomas Stenberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markus Hammarström. Thomas Stenberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Markus Hammarström made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Isac Hellström sent off a good shot on target. Alf Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Flames's Alf Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Söderqwist in the 85th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Brunskog's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Quintana came free, but Markus Hammarström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Flames walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
